Odarley Morton is a contemporary artist whose work explores the emotional landscapes of memory, identity, and human connection. Through a thoughtful interplay of texture, color, and form, Odarley creates pieces that invite quiet reflection while sparking intimate dialogue between the artwork and the viewer.
Working across multiple mediums, her practice is rooted in storytelling—each composition unfolding as a visual narrative shaped by lived experience, cultural nuance, and a deep sensitivity to place. Morton’s work often balances strength and softness, structure and fluidity, revealing layered meanings that emerge over time.
Her artistic process is both intuitive and deliberate. Drawing inspiration from everyday moments, personal history, and the natural world, she builds immersive visual environments that feel at once grounded and ethereal. Odarley Morton continues to evolve her practice, committed to creating art that not only reflects the complexities of contemporary life but also offers viewers a space for contemplation, connection, and discovery.
She worked as an art teacher and education director in New York City, San Francisco and San Diego, 1999 to 2012, winning awards in art education in California, 2011 and 2012. In southern France 2016 - 2022 she co- created an artist collective, offering workshops and opportunities for exhibitions. In 2024, she began working in cinema for the art department.
She currently lives and works in France.
