a mixed-media research and portrait exhibition that invites the viewer to examine how perception affects identity, part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary project that illustrates Blaxit, black American women expats migrating to Europe. These portraits on antique linen purchased at brocantes around Europe, are a celebration of personal stories from real women who have chosen to live in Europe. Using empathetic art and body mapping to share the history of each woman’s journey to self expression, my paintings are filled with their joy and inspiration.
